Celebrating the first "Fruit Trees for Life" planting

At a durbar to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the slave trade, sponsored and organised by the And Albert Foundation, there was a special planting ceremony to launch the "Fruit Trees for Life" cause, sponsored by Cracker.

Through Tree Appeal, Cracker plant fruit trees in villages in Ghana. On March 25 2007, Chiefs and Officials from the town of Anomabo and surrounding districts came together to plant fruit trees symbolising the first 3000 sponsored by Cracker.

Cracker contributes 10% of its profits to fund Fruit Trees For Life. With the support of its retailers and their customers, Cracker aims to plant 12,000 fruit trees every year in villages throughout Ghana, putting life sustaining fruits back into the diets of 60,000 people.
