The Halcrow Carbon Collective (HCC) is a multi-disciplinary working group made up of people from different parts of the Halcrow Group. Its members are dedicated to researching and offering best practice expertise in all aspects of carbon management. Services offered include carbon footprinting, carbon costing, low carbon optioneering and strategic carbon management advice..
The Halcrow Carbon Collective is committed protecting our environment and preventing further degradation of the planet. As a collection of people committed to the concept of preventing dangerous climate change, the HCC decided to practice what we preach.
Members are therefore encouraged to eliminate travel (e.g. through video conferencing) where possible, travel sustainably where travel is necessary (e.g. using public transport, car sharing), as well as conserving resources (e.g. avoiding printing).
However, we recognise that no matter how sustainably we work, there will always be residual emissions. To aid us in compensating for these unavoidable residual carbon emissions, we thought that we would take part in some environmental stewardship and organic carbon capture.
Mostly, though, we really like trees and, as a group that believes in sustainability, felt we would like to see a few more of them around! By entering into a partnership with Tree Appeal, we hope to do just that.
