Here at Dishwashers Direct, we like to think we're a little different from your average catering equipment company. For starters, we specialise in commercial dishwashers, rather than being a 'jack of all trades' so our customers can benefit from our many years' experience when it comes to the washing up, together with a range of machines hand-picked from the world's best commercial dishwasher manufacturers.

Secondly, we believe in taking care of people and all our dishwashers come with an inclusive package of benefits, all designed to give our customers good old-fashioned service. We don't just supply commercial dishwashers, we install, maintain and repair them too, including all those extras like detergent and rinse aid.

We do our best to have the same caring approach to the environment too, which is why we're so delighted to have teamed up with the Tree Appeal. The idea started because we wanted to offer visitors to our stand at the Care Show exhibition in Birmingham a little something extra, and we thought what better than to offset the carbon they use travelling to come and see us, by planting a tree on their behalf? Just like trees, ideas have a habit of growing of course and we decided it would be a great idea to plant a tree for every dishwasher we sell; helping to make sure that the world is a greener place for all our tomorrows.

Commercial dishwashers are actually much greener than domestic dishwashers (or doing the washing up by hand) as they have very fast wash cycles, so they use a lot less water and electricity. That's why they're ideal for all kinds of businesses and our customers include everyone from large corporate organisations, hospitals and schools to care homes, cafes, pubs and church halls.

We also try to think green when it comes to how we run our business, and for example, we do our very best to recycle our customers' old dishwashers, and if we can't, we arrange to have them disposed of in an environmentally friendly way. Similarly, our engineers carry spare parts on their vans so in most cases, they only need to make one visit to repair a broken down or faulty machine, which all adds up to reducing our carbon footprint. They're little things, but they add up to a big difference - where the environment and our customers are concerned.
