Bower is a UK-based, award-winning company that helps homeowners over 55 find the best equity release and mortgage plans for their needs.
But in addition to helping our customers like this, we believe we have a role to play in working to improve our communities and the world around us.
So a few years ago, we began to explore genuinely impactful ways to offset our company’s carbon footprint and minimise the effect our working practices have on the environment. As our name, Bower, means a ’pleasant shady place under trees or climbing plants in a garden or wood’, we felt this is where we should focus our efforts.
Since 2021, we have partnered with Tree Appeal. Working together, we have been busy planting a young tree for every new customer we work with [in our first year alone we planted over 800 of them].
It’s great to talk about being green, but it’s much more valuable to do something tangible about it. At Bower, we are extremely proud to be making such a continual, positive difference to our environment – and from the feedback we’ve received from our customers, they feel the same too.
